BackCare was the brainchild of a local businessman, Stanley Grundy, who established the charity after suffering a back injury caused by a sailing accident. BackCare is an independent charity that provides support and advice to those who suffer with back pain. They provide evidence based advice and information in the prevention and management of back pain through a telephone helpline and via their website and various publications.
